More about Phillippe During the past 35 years, Philippe Perinet has always been a sport's competitor. As well as being a very good sprinter, he also played Rugby League and Rugby Union for 13 years in for which he got a French federal graduation.
Above all he is a former member of the French National Bobsleigh's team.
Beside his own practice, Philippe always studied coaching and training, travelling the world to better his understanding of preparation within different cultures.
Very much focused on the technical aspects of athletics in France, he nevertheless had the chance to be first taught about multi-sports' detection and periodization for Juniors in Cuba, where he was one of the very few Europeans allowed to learn the training system (especially in Athletics & Fencing) hands on!
During his last 3 years, while living in New Zealand, he very carefully studied their sports' education system, which in his opinion is one of the best in the world.
Always looking for new techniques that allow more efficiency and safety for his athletes while adhering to a strict code of ethics, it was a natural progression for him to focus on Tudor Bompa Periodization teaching very early in his career, the science of which he uses to this day.
Having successfully completed the "Strength & Conditioning Expert" & the "Periodization Planning Specialist" grades, he is currently coaching high level athletes in Athletics, Cycling, Fencing, Rugby, Triathlon, Surf Lifesaving & Canoeing with very good results and is constantly being approached by major rugby & basketball teams to share his expertise.
In addition to these tasks and due to his application of TBI Periodization, in 2006 Philippe was the first foreign Head Coach to train & manage an amazing New Zealand Junior rugby team which recorded record breaking wins over their French counterparts during their 2006 trip to France. He also is the personal coach of the Under 17 Oceania Champion in Fencing.
Carrying on competing for fun (New Zealand Master Champion 2006 in Javelin), Philippe is now back in France with an aim to share his Southern Hemisphere knowledge & spirit, and to develop the local TBI Periodization recognition. |
